Projects for Prepared Ear are mostly the collaborative interdisciplinary experiments of composer/guitarist Julian Mock and sound/conceptual artist Alyce Santoro.

Through subtle, carefully-honed listening and the collecting, sampling, looping, layering, deconstructing, and reconstructing of rhythms and tones (those made with traditional musical instruments, as well as those found in natural and industrial landscapes), Prepared Ear is an exploration of sound's power to shape perception, mood, and atmosphere.
